Sanaya Ardeshir (she/her) is an Indian music producer, composer, and performer. Like her naturally occurring namesake, her world of sound is in constant evolution - ranging from experimental piano music, and acoustic-electronic dance music, to experiments in pop, field recordings and synthesis. Her performances reveal an appetite for integrating the worlds of studio and stage, where synthesisers and sound controllers are supported by an ensemble of live musicians against a backdrop of audio-reactive visuals.

She has been described as one of the most prominent electronic music producers in India (Resident Advisor), and her work has garnered praise from international and local tastemakers across various media including Rolling Stone, The Quietus, The Guardian, and The Wire, and the BBC world service.

For Magnetic Fields Festival, Sandunes brings the live debut of 'The Ground Beneath Her Feet'. The 13-track album challenges the celebration and reward for individualism, homing in on humanity's collective spirit, and authentic expression while subverting the norm of what’s expected, serving as a reminder to do more of that which connects the earth and the body. The album shares its name with a Salman Rushdie novel. It speaks to the sentimental foundations involved in making a home - when a tangible version of it doesn’t exist – and finding a home in relationships, in ritual and in music and memory.
