‘Fieldlines’ was an immersive residency that took place at Alsisar Mahal, in Rajasthan, in the week running up to Magnetic Fields Festival 2019. International and Indian sound artists lived and worked together, alongside traditional folk musicians from the region.

Together with a filmmaker and cultural translator, ‘Fieldlines’ highlighted and conserved the various traditions and playing styles through a collaborative process. The residency culminated in open workshop sessions and a live performance at the festival.

Fieldlines is an inter-traditional and inter-generational musical collaboration, that started as part of Magnetic Fields Festival 2019 in collaboration with Gebrüder Teichmann and their label Noland with support from Goethe-Institut's Coproduction Fund grant.
