Tushar Bagla was introduced to hip-hop culture at university in the UK as an amateur Bboy and was given the moniker PhreshPrince for being the only FOB in the local dance scene. This ‘freshie’ got his education in hip-hop, R&B and soul music as a dancer attending cyphers, performing at and promoting hip-hop nights with local dance crews.

His DJ sets are often a fresh take on the original sounds of hip-hop, R&B, funk, disco, UK funky, garage, grime, afro, bashment and even jazz with their modern-day counterparts blended in for good measure. Phresh is establishing himself as an artist who can juggle between these genres with the finesse of an open-format DJ and yet dive deep into them as a specialist might do.
